The Ottawa Senators were starting to show some signs of life. They won all three games last week with victories over the Detroit Red Wings, Montreal Canadiens and New York Rangers. However, they crashed back down to earth this week.

The Senators played four games and lost all four of them, failing to bring much offence at all to the rink all week. They started off by losing to the Columbus Blue Jackets 1-0, then fell 2-1 to the Boston Bruins. The moved up to two goals against the Minnesota Wild but allowed seven and then lost 3-1 to the Calgary Flames to close out a winless week.

They were starting to inch closer to the middle of the pack in the Atlantic Division, but this week ensured they will not be passing anyone in these power rankings any time soon.

Last week’s record: 0-3-0
