11-10-6. Previous: 4th. Montreal Canadiens. 6. team. 152.

The Montreal Canadiens started the year playing like a middle of the pack team, then went on a nice run for nine games and have been the worst team in the league for a few weeks now. The past seven days were no reprieve from their recent struggles.

They were annihilated by the Boston Bruins 8-1 to start the week and that appeared to be rock bottom for this team. However, they followed that game up with a 6-4 loss to the New Jersey Devils, a 4-3 overtime loss to the Philadelphia Flyers and a 3-1 loss to the Bruins for the second time this week.

Just a couple of weeks ago you could have made an argument that the Canadiens were the second best team in the division and a real threat to the Bruins. That seems laughable now as the Habs have lost eight straight and look like they are headed to the bottom of the standings.

Last week’s record: 0-3-1
