1-6-1. Previous: 8th. Ottawa Senators. 8. team. 91.

The Ottawa Senators were not expected to win many games this season and thus far, they have one win in eight games. They are right where most hockey fans expected them to be, sitting last place in the Atlantic Division and not far from last place in the overall standings.

They have done lots of tinkering with their forward lines, trading for Vladislav Namestnikov and shuffling players around to try and find the right combination. The problem is, there may not be a right combination for this group. They just don’t have the depth or high end talent necessary to push for a playoff spot.

They traveled out west last week, falling to the Vegas Golden Knights 3-2 in a shootout, before being taken out by a 5-2 score to the Arizona Coyotes and losing 2-1 to the Dallas Stars. They will at least be at home next week, but I wouldn’t expect a big jump in the standings.

Current Lineup:
Brady Tkachuk – Colin White – Vladislav Namestnikov

Tyler Ennis – Chris Tierney – Connor Brown

Mikkel Boedker-J.G. Pageau – Anthony Duclair

Nic Paul – Artem Anisimov – Bobby Ryan

Thomas Chabot – Nikita Zaitsev

Erik Brannstrom – Ron Hainsey

Matt Borowiecki – Dylan DeMelo

Craig Anderson
