The Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs are playing well which has Ari and Kamal happier than Liam Neeson at the end of Taken.

Habsfan vs. Leafsfan – Season 2 Episode 17 (Montreal Canadiens vs. Toronto Maple Leafs).

Carey Price is back to his regular and is leading the Habs to its current three-game winning streak. Even though the fanbase and his teammates are happy, there’s been an obvious tension between Price and the media. HvL, fortunately, had some exclusive audio from one of these rare exchanges, and they were, bone-chilling, to say the least (0:00).

The boys took the first segment of the show to dive into the Habs new found confidence, but also Price’s relationship with the media (2:08). It’s tough to watch at times considering the reputation the Montreal Canadiens have for this problem. On the other hand, William Nylander and Mitch Marner haven’t been producing as much as people expected. Should more questions be thrown towards them?

More from Editorials

Kamal is happier than anyone that Price is back, but he does have a small problem with the goal that was called back against him in the Buffalo game (12:13). The NHL is doing everything they can to increase goal-scoring, well, let them be then.

It’s tough to criticize the team when they’re winning, but Ari has noticed a few flaws (13:43). For example, the play of William Nylander and Mitch Marner. The team’s depth has saved them ever night; Mike Babcock needs to find a way to put together a consistent winning formula.

The interviews are continuing to pile up on HvL with three on this episode. First, the boys chat with Sportsnet‘s Kyle Bukauskas (@SNkylebukauskas) who you’ve probably seen talking to players ahead of games here and there (15:20). Next up was a longtime sportscaster Joe Tilley (@joeswisstv) who voiced his thoughts on the Leafs rebuild (31:36) while Rojer Lajoie (@TheRog590) came on to talk about both teams and what the media and fan attention can do (44:02).
