There are rumours circulating that Nazem Kadri could be on the move from the Calgary Flames and may return to the Eastern Conference. We take a closer look at how he would fit into the Habs lineup if acquired by the club.

Nazem Kadri would fit into the Montreal Canadiens team in diligent form

Nazem Kadri of the Calgary Flames is a coveted forward who may be on the market because of his value. If the Montreal Canadiens management were to make a splash for the forward, it would give the Habs a strategic advantage in going the distance during the post-season.

The benefit of having Kadri on your team is that you get plenty of grit and toughness from the star forward, not to mention diabolical scoring opportunities where he would fit into Martin St. Louis' coaching system and perform with the likes of Nick Suzuki, Patrick Laine, and Cole Caufield.

Kadri is the type of player the Canadiens need at the moment and would give the team an added chance of winning more games to their respective advantage. He would bring ideal leadership and provide his teammates and fans with heart and soul.

He is charismatic, which would be a compliment to the fans, and knows when to get his teammates riled up in games to perform better, thereby helping them when they are at a disadvantage. He is the type to play the game with tenacity and is a former Stanley Cup Champion.

His presence on the ice would be a dramatic fit for the club because of the force he plays with and knows how to manhandle opponents with his sheer speed and size. He can win faceoffs and knows how to draw penalties at the right time of the game, where his team would take advantage.

Nazem Kadri would be best suited on the top two lines of the Canadiens' top two lines, and in return, a nice package to the receiving end of Calgary would have to take shape. My opinion and guess would be Juraj Slafkovsky and Alex Newhook with a draft pick.

Not to mention the return Montreal would receive if they were to trade for the star forward. A draft pick and, most importantly, an upcoming prospect who would have the qualities to play a unique game himself.

This aspect would give the Montreal Canadiens the added comfort of playing the game in front of fans and away with the grit and tenacity to perform. The team would instantly become a heavyweight and perhaps take charge like no other.

Nazem Kadri is a coveted forward who needs a fresh start, and leading the way for the Montreal Canadiens would be the best choice for the franchise in today's game thus far. His attributes complement those of the forwards on the Canadiens' roster and will be a menace on the ice.

The Habs are in need of gritty players, and Nazem Kadri would be that ideal fit for the club.
