Columbus Blue Jackets
I highlighted Daniil Tarasov earlier in the year as a goaltender the Canadiens could acquire to replace Primeau. We know the Canadiens don't need Tarasov now after Jakub Dobes' performance, but the Blue Jackets still need a backup for Elvis Merzlikins. Tarasov has gotten even worse since that article, owning a 3.83 goals-against average and a .871 save percentage in 13 appearances.
The Blue Jackets are a surprising team this season, and a team that could acquire David Savard as a trade deadline piece. Primeau could join Savard in the deal.
