The NHL Draft is just a few days away now, and while a lot of the attention has been centered on what the Canadiens will do with the fifth overall pick, the Habs also have the 31st pick in the draft. The possibilities of what to do with that pick are endless, with nothing off the table as we near draft day. This is an excellent draft class, most notably at the top of the draft, with numerous players capable of being selected first overall in almost any other draft class. But make no mistake, there is plenty of talent towards the back half of the first round as well. The Canadiens should be primed to land a very good prospect, even if this pick is later in the draft than we once hoped. With that in mind, let’s look at a few names the Canadiens could consider with the 31st overall pick in this draft.
