The Montreal Canadiens are going up against the San Jose Sharks tonight as the team looks to snap its three game losing streak to start the season.

. 7PM ET. 1-0-0. Tuesday, October 19th, 2021. 0-3-0. 152. 120. TSN2, RDS, NBCSCA

Mike Hoffman will be making his debut as he will be playing on a line with Brendan Gallagher and waiver pickup Adam Brooks, who will also be making his Canadiens debut tonight. Jake Evans will not be in uniform and is out day-to-day with an undisclosed injury. Matthieu Perreault will be a healthy scratch.

For the visitors in white, the Sharks are trying to get their season going without the main distraction that is Evander Kane. The NHL has suspended Kane for 21 games for violation of the COVID-19 protocole, more specifically, for submitting a fake vaccination card. The salary he will be forfeiting, in the areas of $1.68 million, will be sent directly to the NHL Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.

Adin Hill is scheduled to start against Jake Allen.
