That was back in September, though, and although he wasn’t able to play any hockey this season, he may be ready to now. Marc Dumont tweeted yesterday that Teasdale is practicing. We knew that he was skating regularly some time ago, but practicing is a very good sign and could open the door for him to join the Montreal Canadiens at training camp.

This isn’t to say that he’ll play games against the Pittsburgh Penguins. However, it wouldn’t hurt to have him participate at camp and travel with the team to Toronto.

What about after that?

It was announced Wednesday that the plan is to have the 2020-21 season begin December 1st with an extremely short offseason. We still don’t know whether that means the same for the AHL.

The organization made it clear that they can’t afford to hold games without fans in the stands. The same thing happened with the ECHL. If it’s still not safe for fans to watch games live, that could mean a delay to Laval Rocket hockey, leaving all those players without a place to play. If so, could Teasdale do enough to earn a spot on the main roster next winter?

There isn’t too much room on the wing as it is next season. Charles Hudon and Dale Weise are coming off the books, but we can assume Ryan Poehling and Jake Evans will come up to fill up those spots. Not to mention the rumours of the Habs wanting to bring back Ilya Kovalchuk and Nate Thompson.
