Friday had Montreal Canadiens prospects Will Bitten and Alexandre Alain in action where the latter is now facing elimination because of his team’s loss.

Montreal Canadiens fans have been able to indirectly take in some of the organizations talents through the CHL Playoffs. However, it’s starting to look like prospects Will Bitten and Alexandre Alain are competing in an intense battle of rock-paper-scissors to decide whose team gets to win for the night.

On Wednesday’s set of Game 5’s, Bitten’s Hamilton Bulldogs dropped a game in overtime while Alain’s Armada had a solid response game against the Titans. The tide appeared to turn for them last night. While the Bulldogs are one win away from an OHL Championship, Blainville-Boisbriand is now facing elimination.

The Armada got on the board first three minutes into the first, but the Titans responded with three unanswered goals. Alain was held without a point despite putting up eight shots and goals finishing the game a -3. Acadie-Bathurst has really done a good job shutting down his offence. The 21-year-old had walked into this series with 28 points in 16 games but only has 2 in his last 6.

Speaking of 6, Game 6 is set to take place on Sunday, and it’s do-or-die for Alain and the Armada. Either they lose and extend the series to a winner take all game or go home with regrets.

It’s a lot more positive for Bitten and the Bulldogs who defeated the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 6-4. Robert Thomas was the star of the game scoring two goals in the second period. The Greyhounds almost came back in the third, but Hamilton managed to stay the course and get the win.

Sunday will be an important day for Bitten as well as his team can do away with Sault Ste. Marie once and for all. For Alain, it’s about winning one game. After that is done, all he and his team have to do is win another one.
