Montreal Canadiens prospects Will Bitten and Alexandre Alain have found themselves both tied in their final series’ after last night’s action.

The stakes were moderately high for the future of the Montreal Canadiens. Will Bitten and Alexandre Alain had a chance to fall on opposite ends of a 3-1 series lead. The Hamilton Bulldogs went into Game 4 up 2-1 against the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds and could’ve put a massive stamp on them. Blainville-Boisbriand, on the other hand, had lost back-to-back games to Acadie-Bathurst and were well in need of a victory.

The Armada got the win, while the Bulldogs didn’t, and in a tough way as well.

Hamilton allowed the Soo to get the lead 34 seconds into the game after some early pressure. The two teams exchanged goals leaving things tied at two by the end of regulation time. Bitten find his name on the scoreboard, but he was still finding ways to impact the game. The 19-year-old had two shots on goal for the Hamilton, one of which including some impressive skill.

Unfortunately, a turnover from the offensive blueline at the hands of Matthew Strome gave Greyhounds defenceman Noah Carroll a breakaway which he finished on. Their series isn’t in any mortal danger, but it’s deflating to lose such a tight game like that one.

Alain and the Armada had a better night finally getting the offensive response they needed. Emile Samson and Evan Fitzpatrick were perfect in the first stopping the six shots they both faced. The dam broke in Blainville-Boisbriand’s favour seeing them score three goals in the second adding another two in the third to chase Fitzpatrick out of his crease.

Alain got the lone assist on the first goal with a slick pass to Anthony Poulin. The helper brought the 21-year-old’s playoff total to 30 points, but he has been bumped to second in the league thanks to Drake Batherson‘s two-goal performance.

Both Game 5’s for Bitten and Alain are set for this Friday. This may set the mark for the rest of the series, so both players and their teams have to bring their best.
