A lot has gone on for the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs and there’s no better time than now for the Habsfan vs. Leafsfan podcast to return.

Habsfan vs. Leafsfan – Season 2 Episode 24 (Montreal Canadiens vs. Toronto Maple Leafs).

It’s been a long and dreadful three weeks since the last episode of HvL. However, life goes on even if one thing stops. For example, the Habs seemed to have fully embraced the tank, be it directly or indirectly, and two names in Carey Price and Shea Weber are out long-term. The Leafs are as hot as they’ve ever been but their status at the deadline can go either way.

There are other things going on around the NHL, and many people could probably use a nice pep talk. It’s only fitting that the episode opens up with some captured audio of Mike Babcock spreading some positive words to many noted figures in the world (0:00). Even Josh Donaldson got some love from the head coach.

Usually, the next portion of HvL has some nice banter from Ari Shapiro and Kamal Rehman, but they decided to go down a different route. Fans are probably going to be tuned in to TSN or Sportsnet frequently to figure out the latest news.

However, there’s a new spot on the network to get information and that is SportsDesk (3:48). Some of the takes may sound satirical and ridiculous, but Ari and Kamal are bringing what any curious fan would want: the information.

I (@OLW93) joined in at the end of the episode (12:28). to talk about the Leafs and most importantly the Habs, in particular, Nicolas Deslauriers‘ extension and what can happen in Montreal as the Trade Deadline approaches.
