The Montreal Canadiens gave the Arizona Coyotes their first regulation win of the season, and Twitter wasn’t happy about it.
…It’s hard to comprehend really. The Montreal Canadiens have plateaued a bit after winning seven of ten games. Although they lost a hard fought game to the Columbus Blue Jackets, fans knew that they could get a win in the next one. What was the next game again? It was against the league-worst Arizona Coyotes.
The Coyotes have been the first team in NHL history not to have a regulation win in their first 20 contests. Arizona was also the lowest scoring team in the entire league. But what happens? The Montreal Canadiens lose by a score of 5-4.
There’s no way to rationalize it; there’s no way to defend it. It got to the point to where the fans in the Bell Center started to boo and left the arena. If you think that was bad, take a look at how Twitter was reacting. There was a lot of anger as the game went on, but it started to pick as the team continued to allow Arizona to come back.
After all, we’ve seen this season; this had to have been the worst game the Habs played so far. Jeff Petry and Karl Alzner were at the head of the fluff, but Jonathan Drouin and Shea Weber didn’t look good despite the offensive plays.

How many chances do you give Stepan? 3 apparently. That’s what it takes for him to score. #Habs
