Episode 6 has Ari Shapiro (Toronto Maple Leafs) and Kamal Rehman (Montreal Canadiens) get you ready for the upcoming 2017-2018 NHL regular season.

Habsfan vs Leafsfan – Season 2 Episode 7 (Montreal Canadiens vs Toronto Maple Leafs).

Hockey is back in the NHL and that means a lot of things. Most importantly it means more Habs, more Leafs, and more HvL! We’ve had the pleasure of getting a lot of exclusive audio from the boys so far this season. That latest involves the Joffrey Lupul situation (0:00). If you don’t know, Lupul failed his second physical. We don’t know what exactly was ailing him, but maybe Dr. Bolton can provide some insight there.

The boys then break down their own predictions for the NHL season (2:12). Where will the Montreal Canadiens finish? Where will the Toronto Maple Leafs finish? It’s going to be a season to watch and hopefully the playoffs are involved.

Habs fans know that there are strong expectations for this year. All eyes will be on Jonathan Drouin, Max Pacioretty, and Alex Galchenyuk to preform and lead the team. Kamal gives three keys to success this season and ironically, none of them involve Carey Price (11:15).

The sophomore slump is something that’s continuously being brought up among the Leafs. Some say that it won’t be a factor, others say that it might be. Similar to the Habs, the Leafs have their own expectations as well, and Ari argues how the media may add some extra pressure to the team this season (13:55).

Finally the podcast finishes with an extended interview with yours truly (@OLW93). I joined both Ari and Kamal to discuss season predictions, analysis, and expectations for both teams.
