Ari Shapiro and Kamal Rehman start the second season of Habsfan vs Leafsfan which introduces A Winning Habit as a collaborator for the Montreal Canadiens.

Habsfan vs Leafsfan – Season 2 Episode 1 (Montreal Canadiens vs Toronto Maple Leafs)

It’s the end of August, weeks before training camp starts. However, it’s not early to discuss the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Weird to have that in the same sentence isn’t it? Well not on Habsfan vs Leafsfan. The podcast done by Ari Shapiro and Kamal Rehman is getting started weeks before hockey is about to be played. However, with the off-seasons the two teams had, there is a lot to already talk about.

The new episode of the second season begin with a pair of sketches. One which combines the Leafs big free agent signing with the world-wide phenomenon Game of Thrones. Perfect timing, I mean did you see that season finale!?. The second some emotion as we hear a press conference from Andrei Markov who has already started his KHL season with Akbars Kazan.

Next, the co-hosts each had a rant for their respective teams. Ari on Patrick Marleau’s relationship with other members on the team and possible roadblocks (5:39) and Kamal on his displeasure for Markov’s departure and belief that something big may be on its way with the remaining cap space the team has (6:58).

The show also had myself (as in Omar, hi) and Editor in Leaf expert Andrew Boehmer on to have a good start to the sit affiliations with our thoughts on what is to come for the 2017-2018 season (9:49).
