The writing could be on the wall that Mike Matheson won't be a member of the Canadiens past this contract. It'll be a sad day for fans when he isn't quarterbacking the team's powerplay any longer, but the Habs have too many defensemen in the pipeline to hold on to Matheson. The Canadiens hope Lane Hutson will slide into Matheson's spot soon.
