The Montreal Canadiens will host their 2024 Development Camp from July 2nd - 5th in Brossard. It's been a whirlwind over the past week with the Stanley Cup Final, NHL Draft, NHL Free Agency, and now development camps beginning. The Canadiens will have some notable omissions from the ice, as Lane Hutson, Adam Engstrom, and Aatos Koivu won't participate.

Michael Hage will generate the most buzz, as the Canadiens traded up to the 21st overall pick to draft the lifelong Habs fan. Hage had a rough start to the season with the Chicago Steel but exploded at the end to look like one of the best value prospects in the draft.

Habs fans will also get a look at Owen Beck, who is fresh off a Memorial Cup Title and MVP. Beck will turn pro this season and could challenge for a spot on the Canadiens roster.

Jacob Fowler is also a player to watch for the Canadiens. He will return to backstop a very talented Boston College squad this season, but all eyes will be on him signing an entry-level deal after the year. Fowler is the goaltender of the future for the Canadiens and one of their top prospects.

Canadiens fans hoped to see Ivan Demidov at this year's development camp. However, he doesn't have a Canadian Visa, which will stop him from attending the camp in Brossard. If he leaves SKA after next season, he will likely get his Visa issues solved and be in Montreal for development camp and the start of the 2025-26 season.

The camp starts with testing and off-ice workouts on Tuesday, before regimented on-ice sessions begin on Wednesday. The team will utilize the two rinks in Brossard to split up the forwards, defensemen, and goaltenders before they come together on Saturday for the premier event.

Fans were chomping at the bit to get a look at the Canadiens prospects last season. It will be much the same this year on Saturday, July 5th, at 11 AM ET.
