The Montreal Canadiens have a full schedule in January, but they won't spend much time on the road. It also isn't an easy schedule with the quality of their opponents, but they should be able to steal some games at the Bell Centre.

  • January 3rd - 8:00 PM EST @ Chicago Blackhawks
  • January 4th - 7:00 PM EST @ Colorado Avalanche
  • January 6th - 7:30 PM EST vs. Vancouver Canucks
  • January 10th - 7:00 PM EST @ Washington Capitals
  • January 11th - 7:00 PM EST vs. Dallas Stars
  • January 14th - 9:00 PM EST @ Utah Hockey Club
  • January 16th - 8:00 PM EST @ Dallas Stars
  • January 18th - 7:00 PM EST vs. Toronto Maple Leafs
  • January 19th - 7:00 PM EST vs. New York Rangers
  • January 21st - 7:00 PM EST vs. Tampa Bay Lightning
  • January 23rd - 7:00 PM EST @ Detroit Red Wings
  • January 25th - 7:00 PM EST vs. New Jersey Devils
  • January 28th - 7:00 PM EST vs. Winnipeg Jets
  • January 30th - 7:00 PM EST vs. Minnesota Wild

The Canadiens finish their five-game road trip that started in December with a journey through the Central Division to play against the Blackhawks and Avalanche. Their tour of the Western Conference teams won't end there, as they then head home to host the Canucks.

They'll take one more trip in the middle of the month to visit the Stars and make their first appearance at the Delta Center in Utah. The rest of their schedule for the month looks daunting, but it gets easier when you realize they travel no farther than Detroit for two weeks.

The Canadiens have a home gauntlet, with three games against the Leafs, Rangers, and Lightning. They postpone their homestand to travel to Detroit but then return to face the Jets and Wild. It's a favorable schedule before a Western road trip in February and the extended break for the Four Nations Faceoff.
