With UMass up a man, Fowler needed to put his best foot forward in keeping things even. Fowler's lateral mobility, and calm, poised demeanour were on display with this masterpiece. UMass thought they had Fowler right where they wanted him, but he made a gorgeous stop point-blank on Jack Musa, robbing him of his second goal of the game.
Unfortunately for Fowler, the Minutemen struck blood with one second on the clock in the middle frame. Cole O'Hara scored the tally, with Musa drawing an assist, his second point of the game.

Fowler hasn't been bad by any stretch of the imagination, but he will have to be perfect in the third to keep the Eagles' hopes of winning within reach. I don't expect that Fowler has plans of losing two games in a row, so the third should be a good one.
Less than two minutes into the third period, Los Angeles Kings 2022 fourth-round selection Kenny Connors put UMass up 3-1.
BC Eagle, and Washington Capital 2023 eighth overall selection Ryan Leonard pulled his team within one. But it wasn't a successful evening for Habs goaltending prospect Jacob Fowler, suffering his second loss in as many games.
Connors' early third period goal held up as the game winner.
Michael Hage, Michigan top Minnesota in OT

After a scoreless opening period, Minnesota drew first blood. Golden Gophers captain Mason Nevers, an undrafted 23-year-old scored his fourth goal of the season. Habs prospect Luke Mittelstadt drew an assist. Boston Bruins 2023 fourth-round pick Beckett Hendrickson drew the other assist on the play.
Michigan scored the following two goals, the second one coming with just under a minute and a half remaining in the second period. Undrafted 21-year-old Garrett Schifsky scored his 12th goal of the season. Another undrafted player, T.J Hughes factored in on the goal with an assist, and the third undrafted player, Tyler Duke drew an assist also.
With the score knotted at one goal apiece, Detroit Red Wings 2020 seventh-round pick Kienan Draper put the Wolverines up 2-1. If his name sounds familiar, it's because he is the son of longtime Red Wing, Kris Draper. Duke added his second assist on the goal, and 2025 draft-eligible Will Horcoff drew the secondary assist.
At 10:22 of the third period, Minnesota drew even, with a timely goal by Jimmy Clark. Clark, 20, is a Minnesota Wild seventh-round draft pick. Buffalo Sabres 2019 fourth-round pick Aaron Huglen recorded the lone assist on the goal. With the game even at 2-2, the player we are all hoping to hear about has been quiet.
But the game isn't over yet, though it did need the extra frame to determine a winner.

New Jersey Devils 2020 fourth-round selection Ethan Edwards scored the dagger at the 03:23 mark of the overtime. Canadiens second first-round pick Michael Hage posted the secondary assist on the tally, starting the scoring play. Hughes recorded the primary assist, his second of the game.
Hage's assist, is his 19th of the season, and his 31 point, in the 28th game of his freshman campaign.
