The Montreal Canadiens finally broke their five-game losing streak with a 4-3 victory over the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday night. However, it won't get any easier for them as they travel to Los Angeles to take on the Kings less than 24 hours later. The Kings have been also struggling recently, owning a 3-6-1 record over their past ten games and losing four-in-a-row before their victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday. An extended break could be what the Kings need to get things back on track.

How to Watch: TSN2, RDS, Fanduel Sports Network, FuboTV

Kevin Fiala has been leading the way for the Kings over the past five games, which hasn't been enough to get them wins. Fiala has three goals and two assists, leading the team in both categories. Cole Caufield finally broke the seal on Tuesday night, becoming the first Canadiens player to score two or more goals over the past five games. Nick Suzuki still leads the team in points over that span, recording one goal and four assists.

Jakub Dobes will get the start for the Canadiens in this game, as Sam Montembeault took care of business on Tuesday night. Dobes has lost two straight games after starting his career with five consecutive wins. However, the Kings' scoring struggles could help him figure out the issues. Darcy Kuemper will likely get the start after an extended break for the Kings. Kuemper allowed two goals on 30 shots in the Kings' win over the Hurricanes.

Joel Armia and Jake Evans added to their trade deadline value as they combined on a shorthanded goal in the third period Tuesday night to take the lead. The pair have been one of the best penalty-killing duos in the league, and Montreal's ninth-ranked penalty kill will take a massive hit if they leave at the deadline.
