Well, Habs fans, the hits keep coming. Sunday morning, the Montreal Canadiens announced that forward Kirby Dach will miss four to six weeks with a fractured foot. This announcement comes on the heels of Alex Newhook being sidelined for four months with a fractured ankle.
For those keeping track at home, the Canadiens are now without Kirby Dach, Alex Newhook, Kaiden Guhle and Patrik Laine.

As a result of these injuries, the Canadiens have had to call up a couple of bodies from their AHL affiliate, the Laval Rocket. Jared Davidson made his Habs debut Saturday night in a 3-2 loss to the Boston Bruins, not scoring but getting four shots on goal in seven minutes. Joshua Roy gets his second recall of the season; his first time this year was right before the Canadiens' western road trip on October 21. Roy went scoreless in his one game played against Calgary during said road trip.

Roy has had a decent start to his season with the Laval Rocket, with four goals and three assists in ten games played for the AHL club. Roy had long been thought of as a prime prospect to make the Canadiens roster full-time, but has struggled over the past 2 seasons to prove himself with the big club. Now, he gets another chance.
The Habs will go on the road for a one-game trip to take on the Columbus Blue Jackets Monday night at 7:30 pm. This will be the first matchup between these two teams this season. The Blue Jackets are 9-7-2 this season, while the Canadiens sit with a 10-6-2 record.
