James Hagens
The projected cream of the crop for the draft is James Hagens, even though some other players on this list are starting to make waves as possible replacements at No. 1. Hagens has 20 points in 15 games so far this season, which isn't a pace worthy of first overall picks in college in the past. For reference, Macklin Celebrini had 64 points in 38 games last season, and Jack Eichel had 71 points in 40 games as the second overall pick in his draft year.
Hagens will have some familiarity at the tournament, as he started on the first line with Gabe Perreault and Ryan Leonard, which is his first line at Boston College. The trio is also on the first powerplay line with Zeev Buium and Austin Burnevik.
