Alexander Zharovsky's development will receive a boost training with Ivan Demidov
At 19 years old, Alexander Zharovsky currently plays for Salavat Yulaev Ufa in the KHL. 6'2" and 192lbs, Zharovsky was drafted in the 2nd round, 34th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in 2025. In the 2025-26 season, he racked up an impressive 16 goals and 26 assists, for 42 points in 59 games with a +7.
Pacing out all the other rookies in the KHL in overall points (42), Zharovsky was officially named the Rookie of the Year/Best Rookie, on par with Demidov, who previously registered the same award with a whopping 49 points.
For a player coming off an impressive season, spending time in Montreal training alongside Ivan Demidov could be another major step in Alexander Zharovsky's development. Winning the KHL Rookie of the Year award showcased the skill, creativity, and offensive instincts that are making him a standout prospect. Learning from a player who won the same award and is currently thriving in the NHL can be a valuable example for a breakout into professional hockey.
If he can build off this confidence and momentum, the Canadiens may have even more reason to be excited about what this young forward can become in the years ahead.
