The second time is the charm for legendary Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price, who has been inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in his second year of eligibility.
For many years, Price was the lone bright spot on some poor Canadiens teams, even leading the team to its first Stanley Cup Final since its last championship in 1993. The franchise's leader in wins for a goaltender has finally been recognized as a Hall of Famer after 15 seasons and 712 NHL games, all spent in Montreal.
Throughout his prestigious career, Price has had plenty of memorable games that Habs fans everywhere will not be forgetting anytime soon. Here are five games that top the list of unforgettable performances from Price that helped define his now Hall of Fame career.

Game 6, First Round of 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs
We start with likely the most memorable game from one of the most improbable series comebacks in NHL playoff history. The Canadiens, facing elimination for the second consecutive game at the hands of their arch rivals, the Toronto Maple Leafs, relied heavily on Price to steal a win and keep their season alive. Much like he did for the entirety of the Canadiens ' miraculous run to the Stanley Cup Finals during the 2021 playoffs, Price delivered when the Canadiens needed him most.
With the season on the line, Price stopped 41 of 43 shots as the Canadiens held off a Maple Leafs comeback to win 3-2 in overtime to force a Game 7 in Toronto. This game was the first time in the series that fans began to think maybe they could pull off one of the most shocking series comebacks in postseason history. Carey Price's all-time performance gave the Canadiens the momentum to go into Toronto and win Game 7, in which Price shut out the Leafs to advance to the second round.
In a year where fans thought Price's best years were behind him and the Canadiens seemed without direction as a team, Price gave all he had left during this run, making it one of the best postseason runs by a goaltender of all time. This game certainly won't be the last time this postseason will be mentioned on this list.
Gold Medal Game in the 2014 Olympics
Back in 2014 at the Sochi Olympics, Price made 24 saves in the gold medal game against Sweden to capture the gold medal for Team Canada. Price outdueled Henrik Lundqvist in the big game, the longtime Rangers goaltender.
The two goaltenders competed against each other for most of their careers, constantly being debated as the best goaltenders of their generation. Price began to separate himself from the conversation and into the greatest goaltender of all time conversation the following year when he won the Hart trophy.
Price won gold with former Bruins center Patrice Bergeron, who was also inducted into the 2026 Hall of Fame class alongside Price.
Game 7, Second Round of 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs
Staying in 2014, fresh off winning a gold medal for his country, Price helped send the Canadiens to the Eastern Conference Finals with a stellar performance, upsetting the Bruins in seven games.
The Canadiens entered the series as underdogs to the Bruins, but went into Game 7 with all the momentum following a Game 6 shutout from Price. He followed that up with an even stronger performance in Boston, stopping 29 of 30 shots en route to a 3-1 win.
2014 was arguably the peak of Price's capabilities, and many believe the Canadiens would have at least made a run to the cup finals if not for the devastating knee injury Price suffered in the following series when the Canadiens were eliminated by Lundqvist and the New York Rangers.
Another stellar performance from Price to eliminate a massive rival.
Game 6, Third Round of 2021 Stanley Cup Playoffs
Back to 2021, arguably the peak of "Playoff Price". Price was always known to turn it up a notch on Saturday nights and come playoff time. The 2021 run might have been the best hockey of his career because he pushed himself to the brink. Price only played in five games following this postseason run.
Game 6, in the third round against the Vegas Golden Knights, is mostly remembered for Artturi Lehkonen's overtime winner that had the Bell Centre going ballistic, but it is hard to forget the magic that Price brought with him all playoffs. That magic was encapsulated with the Game 6 win. The Canadiens were outplayed for nearly the entire game, but the Golden Knights could not solve Price, who gave everything he had to get to his first-ever Stanley Cup Finals.
The perfect send-off for a fantastic career would have been winning the Stanley Cup, but getting to his first-ever finals was quite the consolation for Price, who could not have played any better. Price put the Canadiens on his back throughout the 2021 playoffs, and that run remains the closest the team has come to capturing lord Stanley since 1993.
2016 World Cup of Hockey Final
Price made 32 saves in the final of the World Cup of Hockey in 2016, defeating Team Europe by a score of 2-1, capturing another gold for Canada. Throughout the 2010s, Canada dominated the hockey world, and having a backstop like Price was a major reason why.
Price was phenomenal in this trophy-clinching game, but looking at the bigger picture, it was his last international game, and capped off a perfect 10-0 run throughout his international career from 2013 to 2017.
Price brought with him a resume hard to leave out of the Hall of Fame, including not only a 10-0 record with Team Canada, but also Hart, Vezina, and Ted Lindsay trophies, as well as a .917 career save percentage. One of the greatest goalies, not only of his generation, but of all time, finally gets his flowers among the best ever to play the game.
