Vancouver Canucks
The Vancouver Canucks are another team on the cusp of the playoffs that could use some help on defense. It's a thin group after the top-six, and Savard's steady presence could be a welcome risk to try and sneak into the postseason. The problem for the Canucks is they are currently trying to trade either JT Miller or Elias Pettersson due to a reported rift.
If the Canucks trade one of those players, their playoff chances take a considerable hit. If they find a way to make the partnership last for one more season, Savard makes much more sense. I tried to find a way to trade Savard to the Canucks in a deal for Pettersson, but it wouldn't necessarily make sense.
