I haven't mastered Photoshop; this is a real photo of Savard in a Blue Jackets uniform. He spent the first ten seasons of his career in Columbus before they traded him to the Tampa Bay Lightning at the 2020-21 trade deadline. We know how that year ended for Savard, as the Lightning defeated the Canadiens in the Stanley Cup Final.
Will Savard have a full-circle moment and return to Columbus at this year's trade deadline? The Blue Jackets are one point out of the playoff race despite having the fifth-worst goals-against average this season. A steady, right-shot, defensive-defenseman would do wonders for their unlikely playoff chances.
