Primeau could go to the same area but a different Metropolitan Division organization. Shesterkin is back for the Rangers, but the New Jersey Devils are without Jacob Markstrom. Nico Daws had some good performances with the Devils last season, but he has lost his way and can't get too many good results in Utica.
Markstrom has a history of injuries, which should worry the Devils. They have Jake Allen to back him up, who we know is familiar with Primeau. It could be a successful pairing if Allen's presence helps Primeau find his way in the NHL again and gives the Devils a viable third option.
