Mackenzie Blackwood
The Sharks are another team that could take a defender to add to their growing young core. Mackenzie Blackwood has been in a breakout season for the Sharks, which really couldn't have come at a worst time. They had just acquired Yaroslav Askarov to give him full-time play in the NHL, assuming that Blackwood and Vitek Vanecek would need a replacement. However, they have been a formidable duo.
The Sharks are teasing their fans by looking like a good team, but mostly everyone can agree that the Sharks will find themselves near the bottom of the standings by the end of the season. It'd be in their best interest to move their goaltender while he still has some worth, and the Canadiens have young players they could be interested in acquiring.
