In May of 2022, Allen was nominated for the King Clancy Memorial Trophy but fell short. But it’s another reason to understand why Allen was chosen for this trophy within the Habs organization.

The Jean Béliveau Trophy was established in 2003 to commemorate the 50 years of association between Béliveau and the Canadiens organization, as noted in their press release. The Habs further explain that the award celebrates Béliveau’s great values as a player and a man.

He did plenty to help organizations that helped disadvantaged children, so this award aims to reward those players who are devoting time to personal initiatives that reflect this type of behavior that Béliveau showed.

The Habs also tweeted a photo of Allen with Élise Béliveau when the award was presented to him in Brossard.
