
The Montreal Canadiens have their schedule laid out for the 2022-23 season. With plenty to be excited about, some match-ups might stand out a bit more than others. Especially with the Habs having a new captain and a new road ahead of them, things much change.
This year is going to be about letting their young guns shine for the Montreal Canadiens. Seeing what these younger players can do as they settle into the big leagues will be huge. Besides that, getting fans back in the Bell Centre for another year for Habs hockey is exciting in itself.
They have several exciting games on the schedule, including an exhibition game that will be held off-site for a Kraft Hockeyville special from the 2020 season that was scrapped during the global pandemic.
The Canadiens will have a lot to show during the 2022-23 season. With changes on both ends of the ice and Carey Price still unable to be in the crease, things are going to hinge on netminders stepping up.
Jake Allen continues to be the team’s no.1 option, but as a recent signee, Cayden Primeau may get more looks than expected, even with Samuel Montembault playing second fiddle to Allen to start. On top of that, some changes in the team’s top-six will create a need for offense.
There’s much to be desired with younger players hopefully starting to settle into the NHL and leading this team’s offense. All of that said, let’s take a look at three match-ups that stand out.
