The Montreal Canadiens are finally hosting the NHL Draft, after being promised the chance to do so in 2020 and 2021. Of course, the global pandemic wreaked havoc on everything and the draft was held online instead.

Now, the Habs get their chance to host the annual event and it will take place on July 7th and 8th. The Bell Centre is sure to be rocking as the Habs also hold the first overall selection in the 2022 NHL Draft.

Will they take Shane Wright or will they avoid the consensus top pick? Will they make a big last minute trade? Who knows? But, if you want to be there to watch the picks live, we finally have the details of how to get tickets.

The opening night of the draft will feature round one and that is one month from yesterday. So, it is about time they released the details of how to get in! Rounds 2-7 will take place on the second day, and picks usually go much quicker than on the opening night when all the players walk up to the stage and meet their new management teams.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 10 at 10:00 AM. However, there is a presale that will begin tomorrow, June 9th at noon EST. To qualify for the presale, all you have to do is fill out this form right here.

It is so easy, it pretty much defeats the purpose of a presale. If all you have to do is fill out a form with your email, doesn’t that just mean it is open to the public? Anyway, if you want tickets to this thing, I’d suggest filling out the form and being ready tomorrow at noon to complete the transaction.

The Canadiens also have a late first round pick, 26th overall, from the Calgary Flames, and a total of 14 picks in the seven round event.
