The rumors regarding Tyler Toffoli were gaining steam as you have surely recently noticed. Now the Montreal Canadiens have put those rumors to rest. Toffoli has been traded to the Calgary Flames.

If the Flames decide to retain their 1st round pick in 2022, then the Habs will instead receive a 2023 1st round pick and an additional 4th round pick.

The Pitlick family is slowly taking over the Habs organization. Tyler Pitlick is the cousin of brother’s Rem and Rhett, both already with the Habs organization. Rhett is an unsigned prospect drafted by the Canadiens in the 5th round, 131st overall in 2019.
