Regardless of the standings and how the team is doing overall, there is something special about a Saturday night matchup between your Montreal Canadiens and the Boston Bruins.

This Saturday however, bust out the board games or get your Netflix game on because the game has been postponed.

The team has announced that they will resume play on Monday against the Islanders, making it clear that the prevention is against the Bruins since they are up to 7 players who are under the COVID protocol.

Jonathan Drouin voiced his uneasiness as to facing the Bruins on Saturday.

He’s not wrong though. With COVID cases spiking across the continent at an alarming rate, having so many players unavailable to play puts other players’ health at risk and also takes away from the quality of the show put on the ice.

No one will criticize Drouin for speaking up on this matter. Now if he can just shoot the puck more, we might eventually get off his case altogether.
