It is time to dim the lights, light the candles, put on our starry robe and concentrate. Unleash our inner powers into the crystal ball and predict the future. It’s time to find out what our Montreal Canadiens will do this off-season. Unleash your inner Nostradamus.

Marc Bergevin might be entering his final year as an NHL General Manager and Dominic Ducharme is entering his first year as an officially signed NHL Head Coach. Combine that with an emotional playoff run that brought the team to the Stanley Cup finals and the doors are wide open to go “all-in” next season.

Of course, some of these predictions might be far-fetched but again, no one could’ve predicted the acquisitions of Jake Allen, Joel Edmundson, Tyler Toffoli or Corey Perry before the start of last season either.

With the flat salary cap, intriguing UFA’s, the expansion draft, a nearly blind entry draft and the burning question on how do you improve on an unexpected Cup run, there’s no shortage of action on the horizon.

So let’s dive in headfirst and look at some bold (and crazy) predictions for this peculiar off-season.

Let’s set the mood first.
