Whether this is the first year you watch hockey, whether you’re a die-hard Montreal Canadiens fan, or whether you just like watching the playoffs, you probably have noticed that hockey, just like many sports, brings people together. And who doesn’t love to see it?

It doesn’t matter if you’re in Montreal or not, chances are if you’re repping the Bleu Blanc Rouge, you will meet some nice people. The Habs fanbase is one of the biggest in the NHL and it only became more apparent when the playoffs started.

Now that the Canadiens are Stanley Cup finalists, it’s only getting crazier – no, I don’t mean what happened in the streets of Montreal after Game 6 against the Vegas Golden Knights, those rioters are probably not even hockey fans, but just that, rioters.

I’m talking about the positive side of the fanbase, the people who have been cheering for the Habs for so long they can’t remember it, or the ones who just started this season and are already in love with the team and the game, those are the most wonderful people and they make the fanbase more magical.

In the span of four days, I’ve managed to meet some of the nicest people I’ve ever met, and that was simply because of hockey and the wonderful team that is the Canadiens.

And I just want to say I appreciate you, all of you, from those who simply smile and give a thumbs up at my Habs sweaters, to the ones who straight up just start talking about the games and telling me it feels like 93.

I appreciate you all, and you make the game of hockey so much more enjoyable, so thank you.

I am so happy and proud to be a part of this beautiful fanbase, and you all should be.
