The Montreal Canadiens will look to avoid being down 3-1 in the series, heading back to Toronto for Game 5 on Thursday.

The Montreal Canadiens will be playing Game 4 tonight in Montreal, 24 hours after the Toronto Maple Leafs pulled out a 2-1 win over the Canadiens thanks in large part to solid goaltending from Jack Campbell who stood tall in the final frame making 15 saves.

The Canadiens will be much hungrier tonight, otherwise, this series could be over before the end of the week. The Leafs managed to score first in Game 3 which was a first, but Nick Suzuki would level the game at one before Morgan Reilly, surprisingly, scored the game-winning goal.

One of the main stories of Game 3 is the unbelievable save Carey Price made on Jason Spezza which had social media buzzing and already saying it could be the save of the year. Price made an incredible stick save going from one side of the crease to the other just in the knick of time.

This shows Price is officially in playoff mode, and now it’s time for the players in front of him to step up and score goals, which has always been an issue for the bleu blanc et rouge.

Montreal Canadiens News and Notes for Game 4

Arturri Lehkonen who left last night’s game early due to an upper-body injury will be a game-time decision, as well as Eric Staal and Jake Evans. So, Alex Belzile has been recalled from Laval in case they can’t play tonight.

Head Coach Dominique Ducharme has confirmed Price will start despite the back-to-back situation. Once again, he will be key if the Habs want a chance at winning this game. But considering the way he has been playing, he should be good to go.

Game 4 starts at 7:30 p.m. EST and will be available in English on CBC, Sportsnet, NBCSN, and in French on TVA Sports.
