The Montreal Canadiens played three games last week and struggled to gather any points against some of the weakest teams in the Eastern Conference. How did it affect them in the latest Atlantic Division Power Rankings?

The Montreal Canadiens have hit the ditch this season. It was a difficult week for the Habs as they lost all three games to teams in the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings. They had just made a statement by taking out the Washington Capitals in a big win, but have lost all four games since then.

Elsewhere in the division, the Detroit Red Wings have really put a stamp on last place in the division with four straight losses. The Ottawa Senators are playing better hockey but will it be enough to finally lift them out of seventh place in the power rankings?

The Buffalo Sabres continue to struggle with three more losses in the standings last week. Is Jack Eichel the only player that can score points for that team? Their defence looks fantastic on paper but they can not keep the puck out of their own net.

The Toronto Maple Leafs fired their coach and look like a new team since Sheldon Keefe took over behind the bench. The Florida Panthers continue the yo-yo performances with a pair of wins followed quickly by two losses.

The hottest team in the division is also the best team but the Tampa Bay Lightning are heating up as well. Look out for the Lightning as they seem to have finally found their rhythm with three wins in a row.

How does it all affect the Atlantic Division Power Rankings? Take a look here and see where the Canadiens rank after going on a cold streak last week.
