Montreal Canadiens Development Camp Scrimmage: How To Watch, Live Stream, Time
The Montreal Canadiens are holding their annual development camp and the first scrimmage is going to be broadcast live via live stream later today.
The Montreal Canadiens are holding their annual prospects development camp this week. It started today with the players split into two groups for on ice and off ice activities in the morning and early afternoon.
Late in the afternoon, the prospects will be suiting up in the Habs red and white jerseys to play a scrimmage. It’s always a fun way for fans to get a look at players who were just drafted a few days ago as well as other young players who are part of the organization.
The headliners at this year’s camp are the recent first round picks. Cole Caufield was just taken 15th overall on Friday night, and will be in attendance for development camp. Ryan Poehling, who was taken in the first round of the 2017 NHL Draft will also be playing.
Nick Suzuki, who dominated the OHL this season, Cale Fleury who had a solid first season with the Laval Rocket and Josh Brook an offensive defenseman out of Mooe Jaw of the WHL will all be worth keeping an eye on. A total of 39 players are involved in the camp this year.
This camp also provides just about the only chance all year for NCAA players to come to Montreal and take part in team festivities. College players are not permitted to attend regular training camp as it interferes with their academics.
Thus, this could be the only chance to see Caufield, Jack Gorniak, Rhett Pitlick, Brett Stapley, Jordan Harris or Jayden Struble in a Canadiens jersey this year.
