The Montreal Canadiens have their team photo for the season in the books, and with a crucial weekend, bonding is the most important thing they can do.

It’s been a much better week for the Montreal Canadiens. They earned another four points by beating the Philadelphia Flyers and Columbus Blue Jackets to leapfrog back into a playoff spot. It also helped that the Edmonton Oilers helped out taking a 4-1 victory over Columbus to keep them at 84 points. But it’s unlikely they stay there, and they’ll be looking to get a win in Vancouver.

The Habs, on the other hand, have a crucial weekend of their own. It starts tonight against the Buffalo Sabres leading into a Sunday matchup with the Carolina Hurricanes.

It’s tough to deem one game more important than the over. The Montreal Canadiens shouldn’t be losing games to teams like the Sabres who are playing spoiler for the rest of the season. However, the Hurricanes are a direct competitor for a playoff spot, especially with the Philadelphia Flyers continuing to win games (you know, except for Tuesday’s).

Ideally, Montreal gets the four points increasing their total to 89, and that’ll take an unwavering effort matching the pace we’ve seen from them as of late.

The team picture from Friday should be another driving force to help push the message. The Montreal Canadiens are in sync, dialled in, and committed to the plan. All they have to do is prove it.
