The Montreal Canadiens dropped another game to the Arizona Coyotes in a night filled with minimal effort, execution, and intensity.

Although the Montreal Canadiens have lost more games then they’ve won this season, some of them haven’t been too bad to watch. At times it seemed like the team was trending down more of a respectable tank where they would lose, but there would still be something worth tuning in for. It’s games like last night’s that make the rest of the season drag out.

Before I continue, I may have to apologize. I mentioned in the game preview that the game had the potential to be an electrifying one considering the lack of defence both teams display at times. It also came from the events of the last matchup between the two teams which was an offensive gong show.

However, there’s not much electricity to take from a game as dull as that one. Besides Brendan Gallagher (as usual), Daniel Carr (as usual…when he’s in the lineup), and Carey Price (for the most part), nobody showed up. It’s as if the Habs were in the centre of a WWE ring dazed with their opponent behind them waiting to use their signature move.

The Sportsnet Twitter account put it best after the game.

However, it may be more appropriate to have Marc Bergevin‘s face there instead. You can’t absolve Claude Julien fully considering he’s the coach, but there’s only so much he can do.

These links may help ease things over. If not, leave your thoughts on this latest losing streak for the Montreal Canadiens. Was that the worst of the season? Let us know in the comments

Yup. Long gone are the days acquiring fourth line players for a ‘boost’ in the playoffs. Regardless what the Habs do at the Trade Deadline, they can’t lose.

Beanpot win the latest achievement for Cayden Primeau

Montreal’s goaltending depth is continuing to look good. It’s way more beyond the likes Charlie Lindgren or Zachary Fucale, but 2017 seventh round pick Cayden Primeau‘s spectacular freshman year is catching a lot of attention.

Why the Canadiens should do nothing at the trade deadline

Well, this is new. It’s definitely not the most accepted thought process among the fanbase, but the saying goes that the best moves a general manager makes are the ones they don’t (Fair warning, there’s a paywall).
