Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price is ready to make his sixth appearance at the All-Star Weekend, and it starts with the Skills Competition tonight.
I’ll be honest with you; I don’t put too much stock in the All-Star Weekend. As it kid, being an All-Star seemed to be something players cared about, but now it just feels like a bother. However, the Skills Competition will have its laughs, and hopefully, Carey Price can give Montreal Canadiens fans a few as it takes place tonight.
The players taking part in each event hasn’t been released yet, but considering Price is a goalie, we can take a guess at what they will be. The Skills Relay has a goalie having to fire a puck into the net from the opposite side of the net for the final challenge.
Fastest Skater is always something to watch, and Connor McDavid will have fun with that, and who knows, they may let goaltenders take a crack at each other. Then obviously there are the shootouts and Price will probably have a lot of looks there.

There’s a debate among fans on whether Price should even be there, but at the time of the rosters being named, he was on fire. The team wasn’t as poorly defensively as they’ve been lately and the difference is taking a run at the 30-year-old’s numbers.
The All-Star Weekend is all about having fun, so let’s see if Price and the rest of the players can do that for whoever tunes in.
