The Montreal Canadiens will be looking to increase their point lead they have on the Boston Bruins as they lost in regulation on Monday to Nashville.

Good morning fans. It makes you feel weird that you could ask for more after watching the Montreal Canadiens score 10 GOALS, but I guess that’s what comes with the territory of being a fan right? The Habs are sitting pretty at third in the Atlantic Division, and all the team has to do is continue this level of play to keep it that way.

There’s also the risk of the Boston Bruins who are close behind in points with games in hand. Fortunately, Montreal got some help from P.K. Subban and the Nashville Predators who beat them 5-3. Now the Habs have to do their part.

We got some injury updates from yesterday’s practice. Claude Julien told media that both Artturi Lehkonen and Jonathan Drouin were progressing well.

Drouin has missed the past two games, but it looks like he’ll be returning to the lineup soon.

Speaking of the lineup, Daniel Carr‘s demotion to the AHL was only a paper transaction for waiver implications.

Carr may eventually need to be sent down for a stretch of games, but for now, the Montreal Canadiens have extended the window until his waiver exemption is up.

Good news is the best way to start a day, so check out these reads as well ahead of tonight’s game against St. Louis.
