David Schlemko is back up with the Montreal Canadiens, but we won’t find out whether he plays against the Columbus Blue Jackets until later in the day.
This past weekend had to have been one of the happiest all season for the Montreal Canadiens. Not only did the team end their losing streak, but it also came from a Carey Price shutout. Hockey Night in Canada, Price victory, yeah it’s looking like things are getting back to normal.
However, we can’t get hung up on a single game. The Habs have a new week of matches that start tonight against the Columbus Blue Jackets. One thing that will be interesting to see is what Claude Julien does with the lineup. There probably won’t be any changes to the forward group considering the success the team had. The defence pairings are another story.
David Schlemko is back from his conditioning stint with the Laval Rocket and may be ready to start playing some NHL games again. If that happens, then who comes out? Victor Mete sat in the game against Nashville but had an excellent performance on Saturday. At the same time, Jakub Jerabek and Joseph Morrow are continuing to improve.
