The Montreal Canadiens will look to get some revenge and add another win to the season as they take on the Los Angeles Kings at the Bell Center.

Winning on Tuesday was great, but the Montreal Canadiens can’t just settle for one. This game could have more than one positive for the team. Not only could they add another two points to their season total, but they can get revenge on the Los Angeles Kings from last week.

The Kings hammered the Habs 5-1 which included a hat trick from Adrian Kempe. Marc Bergevin mentioned in his presser on Wednesday that confidence has been one of main the things impacting the team’s success. Having a strong performance against LA will be the best way to keep that confidence level up.

Claude Julien told media Thursday morning that there will be no lineup changes which makes perfect sense. All four lines looked to be clicking and most importantly, the power play was able to convert on a few opportunities courtesy of Alex Galchenyuk and Shea Weber.

Montreal needs to break the trend of having poor starts and relying on Carey Price to bail them out in the first period. He seemed to be back to regular form against the Panthers, but giving up a point-blank scoring chance in the opening seconds of the game isn’t going to cut it. Especially considering LA scored 24 seconds into their game against the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday.

The Kings have lost their last two and will be looking to get out of this slump at the Bell Center. Their games have been pretty close in score as of late, so the Montreal Canadiens can’t afford to let this one get off the rails.

There will also be a pair of milestones in this game. Victor Mete will be playing his 10th of the season meaning he will officially burn a year off his entry-level-contract. No big deal, the 19-year-old has deserved it, and he has been the shining light on a Habs’ blueline that hasn’t looked nearly as good at times. Additionally, this will be Jonathan Quick‘s 500th career game. As great as an accomplishment that is, it would be even better to see the Montreal Canadiens spoil the celebrations and get the win.
