GAME SUMMARY: WASHINGTON 2 – CANADIENS – ZILCH…AGAIN!
After a long video session and a new game plan, the Canadiens gave the lead to the Capitals early again, as Marco Sturm popped one past Carey Price at 1:24 of the first period. Backstrom and Semin got helpers on the goal. The whole play, as you’ll see started with a bad pinch by Hal Gill, and a puck that bounces over Tomas Plekanec’s stick.
There was no scoring in the second period, and not much in the third, until Alexander Semin took advantage of a pass from Nick Backstrom on a 2 on 1 at the 16:19 mark.
Another goose egg by the Habs, and 7th place in the conference, behind the New York Islanders.
