Okay.
The trade deadline has come and gone.
As you may have noticed , a certain Micheal Cammalleri is still a member of Les Habitants.
I reported that Cammalleri was going to be traded. My source is a respected member of the Habs family and I stand by what I was told. I was wrong.
I was not wrong for writing what was told to me nor am I wrong for putting my neck on the goal line. If Cammalleri was traded then I would have accepted any accolades for scooping a story. Since he has not been sent the way of Lapierre and Higgins and quite possibly toward a Vancouver Stanley Cup – I will accept any backlash and credibilty slashes with my head high.
I will be sporting the dreaded Maple Leaf sweater in front of the Bell Center in the next few days and this humiliating event will be posted on the site. Thanks for all your support and catcalls.
Welcome to Coach K
As you may have noticed , there is a new writer joining me at A Winning Habit. His name is Coach K and I will leave it to him to decide whether or not he wants to divulge his real name. A perennial Habs fan and excellent writer – coach K will not only alleviate some of the pressure on me and allow what will be more insightful writing on my part , it will also give another bright perspective on the plight of the Canadiens as they skate toward a hopeful Stanley Cup win.
