Ilya’s agent was on a talk show the other day telling everyone how hard it has been for Kovalchuk over the summer and that he just wants the whole thing to be behind him. Apparently – Ilya’s wife was really distraught because she did not know where her next mansion would be…ALL Together now….THERE ARE FAR WORSE PROBLEMS IN THE WORLD !

All the Hab players reported for training camp this past week and the biggest surprise was the arrival of Price. After altering his mask twice in two seasons and not having the best results – Carey has decided on a ‘new look ‘ (see left ). Eric Belanger ‘s agent, Joe Tacopina, says the Caps strung his client along for months, never delivering on a verbal agreement to re-sign him. Belanger moved his family to the Washington area and even had his kids registered in a local school. George Mcphee, the owner of the team denies that any agreement had taken place and now Tacopina is considering launching a lawsuit against the Caps. Eric, Eric, Eric…don’t you know that the only time an oral agreement works out is with a hooker? Although the end result is the same – you end up getting screwed!
All Savard all the Time…
Bruin’s forward Marc Savard will miss the start of training camp due to post-concussion symptoms. Savard was nailed by Pittsburgh’s Matt Cooke during the regular season and returned only for game one against the Flyers in the second round of the play – offs. The Bruins went on to blow a 3- 0 series lead. Bruins management will not disclose Savard’s symptoms but refuted the rumors of Savard’s love of Philly Cheesecake and a penchant for Kate Smith’s version of ‘God Bless America’.
Khabibulin
Nikolai Khabibulin’s lawyer is doing everything in his power to keep his client from serving jail time – citing that Khabibulin must be on the ice or risk losing his job.The lawyer also pleaded for the prosecution to consider the time that Nikolai spent in nets for the Oilers last season as time served. No word if Khabibulin is happy or not with Joe Pesci defending him…
The Buffalo Sabres introduced their new sweaters.

and finally…The Toronto Maple Leafs have decided to try to colorize the film footage of their 1967 Stanley Cup win in an attempt to lure the younger generation.Note to the Leaf’s organization ; maybe you should be trying to make the new broadcasts black and white…I mean they won after all …!
