The Montreal Canadiens were slated to host the 2020 NHL Draft. We don’t know what the draft process will look like, but we are taking an early shot at a 2020 NHL Mock Draft.

The Montreal Canadiens were supposed to host the 2020 NHL Draft at the Bell Centre in June. With everything that is going on in the world right now, that isn’t going to happen as planned. We don’t know exactly where the draft will take place or when it will be scheduled.

However, we do know who the top prospects are for the event. At some point in time and somewhere in North America, there will be a draft held to find teams for the top young prospects in the hockey world.

We still don’t know what the exact draft order will be right now. Will the NHL still hold a draft lottery? Will the odds change from what they originally supposed to be? We don’t know.

For now, we are going to set up the draft order just by reverse standings. This will probably change if they can stage a postseason, or hold some sort of a draft lottery in the future. But with the hockey world on hold right now, we can’t predict what will happen in the playoffs or at the drat lottery.

So, we are going to run our first edition of the NHL Mock Draft. We will just use the standings and the last place team will get the first overall pick and the first place team will get the 31st overall pick in the draft.

Let’s take a look at how we see the 2020 NHL Draft shaking out right now:
