Saku Koivu was the captain of the Montreal Canadiens for ten seasons, tied for the longest serving captain in Canadiens history with the iconic Jean Bealiveau. Koivu makes his second return to the Bell Centre since he left for Anaheim via free agency in 2009. The Ducks came away with a 4-3 victory in January of 2011 with Saku coming away with an assist in his only game as a visitor to the Bell Centre before tonight.

Tomas Plekanec and P.K. Subban have been carrying the load offensively over the past five games, as they have each recorded five points. Plekanec has scored four and added a helper, while Subban scored once and has four assists in the five game span.

Alex Galchenyuk started the season with seven points in just four games, but is yet to get on the board since. He has been held scoreless in five straight games.

Michael Bournival has been making the most of his opportunity that has been given him due to injuries. The rookie has been playing alongside veteran scorers Plekanec and Brian Gionta, and has three points in the last three games.

Nathan Beaulieu draws back into the lineup as Jarred Tinordi has been sent down to the Hamilton Bulldogs. Beaulieu has been held scoreless thus far in three games played, but his skating and puck moving abilities should help the Canadiens create offense.
