Canadiens Recall Greg Pateryn

The Montreal Canadiens have announced that they have recalled defenseman Greg Pateryn who is currently tied for the team lead in points with the Hamilton Bulldogs.

MONTREAL, QUEBEC – Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have recalled defenceman Greg Pateryn from the Bulldogs.

Pateryn, 23, has recorded two goals, two assists and is a +3 in five games with the Bulldogs so far this year. This move comes just hours after the Canadiens announced that defenseman Jarred Tinordi has been assigned to the Bulldogs. This move may be more of an insurance type move as the Canadiens only have six defensemen on their roster as of now and Pateryn could act as an emergency player in case one of the six can’t go Thursday vs Anaheim.
